Common questions

The app says my temperature is different from my phone's weather app.

On iOS we use the same WeatherKit data as the built-in Weather app — should match. On Android, the source is the same WeatherKit data through our backend, so it should match Apple Weather but may differ slightly from the Google or Samsung Weather apps. If you see persistent differences, please email support — we have a per-user calibration coming in a future release.

Notifications stopped working.

On iOS: Settings → Notifications → WindowWise — make sure "Allow Notifications" is on. On Android: long-press the WindowWise icon → App info → Notifications. Some Android phones (Samsung, Xiaomi, OnePlus) aggressively kill background apps; you may need to mark WindowWise as "not optimized" in your battery settings.

I want to leave my household.

Settings → Family Sharing → Leave household. You'll be prompted whether to keep your savings history and home settings, or start fresh. Leaving doesn't tell other members; they'll just see your device disappear from the list.

I lost my phone — can my new phone replace it?

Yes. Have someone else in your household generate a fresh invite code, then join from your new phone with the same display name (e.g. "David's iPhone"). The old device will still show in the list until our 90-day inactivity reaper clears it automatically — or you can manually leave the household first if you're rebuilding from scratch.

How do I turn off Premium auto-renew?

Premium is a one-time $3.99 purchase, not a subscription. There's nothing to renew or cancel.
